Calvary Lutheran is special for its:

• Strong foundation in Scripture. The congregation is focused on the Word. This gift is to be celebrated and used, through whatever challenges and opportunities may come.
• Identity and mission in education. Calvary has one successful K-8 school and a second in development, a successful early education center, and a mission partnership with a Lutheran high school. Our educational mission is about building capacity, developing leaders, and sharing faith in Word and deed.
• Unusual mix of local and citywide members. Many people travel to services and activities from across the metropolitan region, while a large contingent live in the neighborhoods around Calvary. We are a neighborhood church with regional resources.
• Talented clergy and lay leadership, leading to greater participation. We have a dynamite pastoral team, strong in worship, theology, youth ministry, and mission, plus a deep pool of talented and committed lay leaders. Members feel confident and able to contribute and participate.
• Richness in land and facilities. The congregation has three campuses to use for ministry. We seek opportunities to use the assets God has given to us.
